There is nothing like a war in a reporter's back yard to boost a career. During the time she spent in CNN, she covered various subjects including most recently the second gulf war. She was the only western correspondent based in Iraq during the sanctions after the 1991 Gulf War. Arraf is now with the prestigious Council on Foreign Relations and with NBC News, reporting for NBC Nightly News with Brian Williams.
