Jason Beardsley (footballer)

Jason Clive Beardsley, (born 12 July 1989 in Uttoxeter, Staffordshire) is a youth team footballer at Derby County.
Jason started playing football for Uttoxeter Juniors where his dad, Clive, was manager. He was spotted at a young age by many clubs and chose to play for the club he suppoerted as a boy, Derby County, and was signed up at just 7 years old.
Having been part of the acadamy for over 10 years, Beardsley has signed a 2 year professional contract, the length of contract testement to the effort Beardsley has put in over the years. He now hopes to follow in the footsteps of other Derby players such as Giles Barnes, Lewin Nyatanga and Lee Camp - who all came through the acadamy.
