Jelani McCoy

Jelani Marwan McCoy (born December 6, 1977 in Oakland, California) is an American professional basketball player. A 6'10" power forward, he played in the NBA from 1998-2005 for the Seattle SuperSonics, Los Angeles Lakers, Toronto Raptors, Cleveland Cavaliers, and Atlanta Hawks. He attended college at UCLA and high school at St. Augustine High School in San Diego, California.
In 1998, was UCLA's career leader in blocked shots, but quit the team Feb. 16th, claiming increased media attention over the previous months.
McCoy was suspended in late September of 1998 for violating "unspecified" team rules but reinstated three months later. Reports indicated that he was suspended for using marijuana.
On Jan 19th, 2006 McCoy signed with Italian club Viola Reggio Calabria. In February, 2007, he signed with Spanish club Menorca Bàsquet
McCoy compiled NBA career averages of 1.5 points and 2.4 rebounds.
