Jeremiah Nyagah

Mr Jeremiah Nyagah was elected a member of the pre-independence Legislative Council to represent the present-day Embu, Mbeere Murang'a, Maragua, Kirinyaga and Nyeri districts in 1958. After Kenya independence he became the member of parliament for Gachoka until his retirement in 1993
His eldest son Joseph Nyagah is a former cabinet Minister and currently the member of parliament for Gachoka constituency. His eldest daughter is currently an ambassador. His second son Norman Nyagah is the Member of parliament for Kamukunji constituency and also the Govt Chief Whip. His other son Nahashon Nyagah, is a former Governor of the Central Bank of Kenya.
His wife Eunice Wambeere Nyagah died on October 29th 2006 [1].
