[edit] Notability
It would be a stretch to call Ficowski famous, but he is certainly notable. His works have been widely translated, with Regions of the Great Heresy, his biography of Bruno Schulz, doing particularly well in the west. He was prominant enough to have his entire output banned by the Polish government, and he was politically active during the 70s. The fact that the Guardian published an obituary for him is certainly indicative of a notability outside of Polish literature. Rje 14:16, 7 June 2006 (UTC)
