- During his meeting with Barbara, Sam keeps calling her Mrs. Lahey. If she and Jim had divorced, shouldn't she have gone back to a maiden name, or at least dropped the 'Mrs.'?
- This is the first episode that details Barb and Sam's relationship.
- During Lahey's speech, a man that look uncannily like Robert De Niro's Travis Bickle character from the film Taxi Driver can be seen behind the boys.
