Why was the Astro Wars page deleted? There are many games of this type which have less players and they all have there own article. Looking forward for an answer.

Hi Jim. Could you please undelete the Engineering Global Leadership page? Our university was hoping to use this as a more accessible site for undergraduates to access general information about the Honors Program. Thanks! -Ryan
[edit] RTSC
Hello, I'm a a user from RTSC and was wondering why you deleted our article so soon. We were just starting to work on it and you deleted it without even giving a reason.

Thanks man. I apologize for accusing you for deleting unjustly. Understandably, I was a little bitter at the time, but thanks for your help. Damned Zombie 01:41, 10 January 2007 (UTC)
[edit] PS3 Firmware History Deletion
I moved the information on previous PS3 firmware changes, from the main PS3 article as it was getting cluttered, to a new page, and you decided to delete it, I'm sure the readers of the PS3 article can thank you for that..
- You can sign your comments automatically using four tildes ~~~~,
- I couldn't find this article in the deletion log, so I checked through my deletions for the past week in case it was misspelt, but I can't find anything with a similar title. I'm not denying deletion, but I'm puzzled why I can't find any trace - difficult to comment further without the deleted text.
- If you can give the exact title or the time and date of deletion, I'll try again.
- The article isn't protected, so there's nothing to stop you pasting your text in to recreate anyway. Jimfbleak.talk.11:44, 2 January 2007 (UTC)
[edit] RICH GUY Magazine Deletion
Could you explain why you deleted RICH GUY Magazine? This is a real magazine, I subscribe to it and I put a lot of work into getting that information.
[edit] Trevor Archer Deletion
Hi Jim. :) Could you explain why my article about 'Trevor Archer' was deleted. I can't see what deletion criteria in meets, and Trevor is fairly well known in the UK Evangelical domain.
Further to your message, Trevor is a largely known speaker in the UK and is not just some pastor of a local church (for a start it's a very large church!). He leads the London Men's Convention in the Royal Albert Hall which involves tens of thousands people, and founded notable Christian projects. I see no harm in this article existing. Additionally by being categorised under 'Christian Speakers', it helps those trying to find a speaker. Revival of the entry would be greatly welcomed. 82.43.159.8 17:11, 20 December 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Mark Banker Deletion
Hi. I noticed you speedy deleted a page I created, Mark Banker, but the page did not satisfy any speedy deletion criteria as notability was asserted. [edit] DUMBA, Lusty Loft Deletion
Hi, I noticed you delete both my pages for "DUMBA" and "Lusty Loft Parties". I had JUST finished writing them, I spent about 60 minutes reseraching and working very hard on them and did not save a back up of my work off line because I trusted this community take the JOB of historical archival seriously. As it happens, I feel very strongly that both of these pages should be here and I also just finished composing an email message to about 10 people inviting them to come to Wikipedia and edit the pages I had created.
Now I have to start all over again with my work (like I said, you purged an hour of work that I did not save elsewhere). And so do I trust Wikipedia to be good place for my historical work? Or is some bozo going to come along again and delete my pages without asking or really caring what he's doing?
So what gives Mr. Jimfbleak? Just who do you think you are and what gives you the right to trample on other people's hard work? I think your actions are questionable and need review by a larger community of uers. I'm pissed and I want an answer.
You actions were not in accordance with the deletion policy Wikipedia:Deletion_policy. Please review your actions and explain yourself. You will be held accountable for your acitons. Jasonfb 18:12, 1 December 2006 (UTC)
[edit] User: Regarding the selfish deletion of Room 19 site
Thanks for deleting my article i decided to write for my little brother I'm actually 27 and I think teenage drivel is a bit rude and rather childish on your part not mine. I thought the process of having wikkipedia was to inform others of information in which they may be able to use for a good purpose. I also found it rather amusing that you decided to delete my article for its creativity when yours doesn't pose any risk of deletion because of how unoriginal and placid it is. I hope you understand because of your age (judging from your photo "cheers")that, the sort of information that was trying to be posted was not negative rather out of your generation and don't be confused when you cannot understand the proper content or purpose that is trying to be expressed. I plead to you to get off your high horse and look at reality young people will run this world one day your time has come and gone bad luck for you. Learn to give up when defeated.

[edit] Would it be possible to specify, why an article has been deleted
Hello Jimfbleak
A few seconds after an article has been created you deleted it without some further explanations. Even an article on a subject, you don't really seem to understand as it has nothing to do with birds ;-)
Please be more precise and less self-satisfied thanks.
Cheers Metazargo

Dear Jim, You have deleted the Salariya entry, can you please inform me how this differs from any other publishers entry and how I can work with you to have it accepted? Many thanks, over and out , Piara
Dear Jim, I just read your response indicating the reason you chose to delete the page I had created. I am new to this, so I didn't understand, but to now. I have recreated the page, since you correctly stated that I hadn't kept a copy (silly me), paying attention to my wording. I hope this page will pass, and not be deleted this time around. If you have any further suggestions for the newbie I am trying to learn as much as possible.
Sincerely,

Question: 11:48, 2006 December 2 Jimfbleak (Talk | contribs) deleted "The Intelligence of Dogs" (advertisement,) I was surprised to see this as I don't recall a rfd on this page. Stanly Coran is probaly one of the major researchers on the subject and the book in question is one of his most important publications. The article was hardly an advertisment for the book, in fact it provided a sumary of it's major findings..cmacd 13:30, 8 December 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Alice Springs Public Library
I am a little disappointed to find that an article I was writing (my first) was deleted. I understood the suggestion that it was SPAM or advertising and had attemted (or was attempting) to rectify this when it was deleted.
Being as many public library services have wikipedia entries I was attempting to bring this entry into line with existing pages of similar services.
Following the prompt I was given when the page was flagged, I set up a talk page for the entry and no explenation was given on that page as to why my changes were unsuitable.
I am aware I was going into and out of the page frequently, this is because my net connection has been unstable (being in the remote center of Australia) and i was hoping to be able to make incremental changes to bring the entry into line.
Is it possible to have this page unlocked so that I can attempt further work to make it suitable?
Cheers

[edit] Deleted page
Hi,
I noticed that you have deleted the article Marita Liulia. Article is about famous Finnish multimedia artist and the most probably reason for delete is because of the names of art works (AB and SOB). Here is the edited copy of article that I would like to post.
MARITA LIULIA artist, director (born 1957 in Perho, Finland)
Marita Liulia is a versatile visual artist and a pioneer of multimedia. Liulia started her artistic career in theatre and worked with various visual art forms in the 1980s. She extended her work to digital and interactive media in 1991 with Jackpot, a CD ROM on the world of advertisement. Maire, a study into modernism released in 1994, was one of the first artworks to be published in CD ROM format. Ambitious B., a colorful CD ROM about femininity (1996) was her international breakthrough. SOB (Son of a B.), a CD ROM about men and masculinity, followed in 1999. Marita Liulia Tarot was published in six different formats and ten languages between 2000-2004.
In 2001 Liulia returned to theatre with the works Manipulator and Animator, which were created collaboratively with musician/composer Kimmo Pohjonen. Hunt, a dance performance realized together with choreographer/dancer Tero Saarinen - now something of a cult classic - has been shown already 90 times in 24 countries since the premiere at the Venice Biennale in 2002.
Liulia has received numerous awards including Prix Ars Electronica in Austria (1996) and Prix Möbius International in France (1996, 1999). She has also received the Finland Prize, the Finnish Cultural Fund Prize and the Erik Enroth Prize (2002) for her achievements as an artist. She founded the production company Medeia in 1997 and Prix Möbius Nordica, a media culture competition, in 2000.
Is it possible to unprotect the page, so I can post the new version? Or what should I do?
best regards,
-Juha

[edit] Northeast High School (St. Petersburg, Florida) deleted?
Northeast high is an article I started, and as a student, need no references. Why the deletion and protection? It would be nice to have some way to prove that northeast does exist and has a rich tradition of spirit and pride.
Please review this deletion, for Northeast High School (St. Petersburg, Florida) is a legit article that I worked hard on, given the short amount of time that I had to start it.—The preceding unsigned comment was added by Dwnts (talk • contribs) 13:05, 12 December 2006 (UTC).
I second that, as another student, I believe that northeast should be in wiki.
Neither of us have had much time to work on the article, and haven't had much time to tell others about the article, and get people to work on it. we must emphasise that the article is young yet, and I just started this out of spontineaity(?|) give me time, please, the article was only days old when it was deleted. Thanks. We both are relatively new users and, don't know much about the {{}} functions, etc. But we are not the only ones wanting to work on this article.Failure of the week 13:31, 12 December 2006 (UTC) [ http://www.northeast.pinellas.k12.fl.us Northeast home page ]
- I believe I'm the one that suggested deletion a while back. I suggested the deletion of two articles...one because it became a redirect for G W Bush, and the other because it was blank. Last I checked, regardless of your affiliation, you do need references for articles on wikipedia. It is meant to be an online encyclopedia, and written in that style, which requires references. [edit] Deletion of the slang term 'falar'
Please can you explain why you deleted this page? It took me a long time to do and I feel it was a valid entry to the site.
It seems that you have deleted many pages on here that should not have been deleted and I would question your judgement as an administrator. May I suggest that it may be an idea to contact the author of the page before you delete it? [edit] Re: The Charming Associates
I originally tagged it as {{db-band}} but thought I'd give it the benefit of the doubt when the tag was taken off. It does look rather WP:NFT. Tonywalton | Talk 16:35, 11 December 2006 (UTC)
- One for you, cut/pasted from my talk page:
- Hi Tony,
-
- With regards to the charming associates, it is not a spoof.
- They are a very popular band that are currently in the process of being signed. All you have to do is go to ::their myspace account to see that they are not a spoof.
-
- Please will you re-instate this page as soon as possible. I have been to great lengths to research more ::information about them that I was in the process of adding today before it was unfairly deleted.
sorry to slope the shoulder there, but I didn't delete it :) I'll have a word on Voncrass' talk page Tonywalton | Talk 16:59, 11 December 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Moladi
Can you give me any background to what happened there? What was the content of that article, and why did you delete it? I am curious as somebody keeps putting links to it on another page.
As a general aside, I find that deletion info should provide much more precise reasons...
Cheers, MadMaxDog 06:50, 12 December 2006 (UTC)
- As an addendum, I just did a quick check, and if the 'Moladi' article WAS about the formwork company, then it is easily notable. Even a quick superficial google check found several articles about Moladi in online newspapers. Therefore, it might be a good thing to unprotect and add correct content. MadMaxDog 06:54, 12 December 2006 (UTC)
- PS: Sorry, I seem to have placed this in the wrong ordering in your talk page somehow. Feel free to move.MadMaxDog 06:54, 12 December 2006 (UTC)

- Based on your comments, I take it you have no objection if I take the time to write a sourced article? Would still need it to be unprotected for that. MadMaxDog 07:00, 12 December 2006 (UTC)

I understand that this page was previously created, as a commercial page. When I created it it was meant for reference only, if you compare the previously deleted page to mine you would find that they are nothing alike. Please undelete my page or unprotect it and allow me to re create it to your satisfaction. I was in the process of trying to create a page for the anchor grill when you deleted it and now it seems no one can create one. This is a shame because it deserves a page. Despite the fact that the information given was standard, common knowledge, I do have sources to site (assuming this was the issue). I simply didn't have any time. I am not sure what rule was broken to deserve deletion. I have never created a page before, i admit, but I don't see any reason why the creation of the page I made should be thwarted. i am tnarg515 if you could let me know some way or another. I would like to fix whatever is necessary and get the page up and running.

[edit] dead men dreaming
this does not qualify for speedy deletion... According to wiki...
Before nominating an article for speedy deletion, consider whether an article could be improved or reduced to a stub; speedy deletion is for cases where an article does not contain useful content. Note that some Wikipedians create articles in multiple saves, so try to avoid deleting a page too soon after its initial creation. Users nominating a page for speedy deletion should specify which criteria the page meets; it would also be considerate to notify the original author.
and
Important note: Failing to satisfy the notability guidelines is not a criterion for speedy deletion. An article that fails to even claim that the subject of the article is notable can be speedily deleted under criterion A7, however. A mere claim of notability, even if contested, may avoid deletion under A7 and require a full Article for Deletion process to determine if the subject of the article is notable
Additionaly according to wiki for nn-band (no name band?) the band must have been covered in news papers, which it has, and is significant because they are currently touring with Marc Rizo of Soulfly. What other info would I need to link to make it?
--Shaness 09:03, 26 December 2006 (UTC)
[edit] dead men dreaming again
I already went to the page you linked me to and it even says on the page.
Important note: Failing to satisfy the notability guidelines is not a criterion for speedy deletion
which I quoted already. However it does meet notability standards considering they have had articles in newspapers and is also a major band in a "local scene."

[edit] Reynolds Secondary School
Not my article but while perusing the deletion log I saw [1] and wondered what could possible make it a CSD. Even from the deletion summary it appears to be at most an AFD candidate. Thanks for your response. DoubleBlue (Talk) 18:03, 31 December 2006 (UTC)
- I appreciate your speedy response. There is, as far as I know, no notability standard established for schools as there are for bands, for example. See WP:CSD#Articles. Many believe that an institution so important to communities is inherently notable and, as Jimbo said, the golden rule is simply that it be Verifiable and NPOV. If the article is poorly done then a clean-up or AFD would be appropriate. I do, however, appreciate your somewhat thankless but noble work clearing out the CSDs. Cheers! DoubleBlue (Talk) 22:01, 31 December 2006 (UTC)
[edit] deletion of shneete rock
i dont understand why the shneete rock page was deleted. it is a growing thing in new jersey and it is becoming a culteral phenomenon throughout kids in our town, and it is spreading. not only is it another chance for a new genre of rock to make its way on to the map, but it is neither a promotional way of boasting or just writing nonsense. maybe you believe that it was nonsense because you havent heard of it yet. and i dont see how an upcomng genre of rock music can not be noteable enoughfor a global encyclopedia, whereas you have numerous sections on pornstars and other such instances
not to mention this page would also help get a new genre of music that combines new songs and old greats into the minds of todays music fans
i dont see ho it can become more then a local phenomenon if it is not given a chance to be spread worldwide. if the myspace site begins to pickup a following , would there be a possible reconsideration?
i also agree with some of the writers here who question your administrative qualities belive that you delete articles without even contacting the person first.

I think you must have missed the point on this article. Your zealousness for deletion means that I, as a relatively infrequent user of Wikipedia, did not get an adequate chance to respond to any objections that were raised. Dolly Lenz is the number one broker in the united states => she is notable. It is also a requested article as per Wikipedia:Requested_articles/Business_and_Economics. Please explain. Thanks. Will 22:09, 15 January 2007 (UTC)
Dolly Lenz is one of the most influential names in real estate, and I feel that she is, in fact, worthy of an article. As the previous poster stated, she is the #1 agent in America, evidently a leader in the industry, as is considered by many networks (CNBC, ABC, and FOX to name a few) as an expert in the field. I'm new to the uploading of images so you may need to explain this to me (and YES, I have been through ALL the notes on what to do). But these images came from the Mayor of said town, so if that's not allowed then what is?
Could you possibly confirm: What evidence do you need to validate this? Alternatively, where do I have to go to do things so that "the powers that be" allow me to use these images (and please provide links, the notes are a labyrinth)?
Thanks in advance

[edit] REDRUM's First Maxi Single
(an article about a band, singer, musician, or musical ensemble that does not assert the importance or significance of the subject. (CSD A7))
I really don't see why the article was deleted. There is virtually no information about this Japanese band in English and the little information I posted about their first release asserts significance on their music and the band. Will I have to go about fighting an uphill battle each and every time I post more information about this band or similar topics on wikipedia?
I haven't spent enough time on wikipedia to learn the intricacies of writing the perfect article (nor do I care to right now) and for topics as obscure as the ones I write about I believe any information written is better than nothing. I suppose the wiki-gurus have to keep everything in line but is deletion really necessary? Is nothing really better than something?
[edit] DVine's Deletion
I was not sure where this was supposed to be so I put it in both places.
Why was the article about DVine deleted? He is one of the few driving forces in Fort Worth Rap. The article had a good amount of information, even more so than some major label artists. I believe strongly the article should be undeleted. This is the second time you have deleted it according to the deletion log, and no other wiki supervisor had a problem with it. Even on DVine's web page it says to see more information on wikipedia. In the area of Fort Worth he is in the top ten for plays on the music sites. Once again, please undelete the article DVine.
There are several underground artist on wikipedia that have little to zero mainstream success. To you it may be an unimportant article about a person who isnt relevant to you, but to the thousands of fans he is relevant. Also, you deleted him when his succuss was growing at an expotential rate. His number of plays have nearly doubled in the last week due to the release of what will probably be a radio single, which was done with Swisha House's C.L.E.O. Right now DVine is right with Twisted Black and Smoothe Vega for number of plays a day which is a milestone, especially since Twisted Black is also on wikipedia and with less biographical informational I might add. This article is beneficial to DVine's fans so that they can see DVine's backround and to double check information. This Article should be reinstated at the earliest possible time.
This is DVine, and I would like to know why my article was deleted? Especially after the amount of time it was up, with new additions of information pertaining to my career. This is the page my fans look to for information about my past, my present, and my future. I was notified by four or five fans yesterday my web page was no longer active and that it had been deleted.
And I love how there are reponses too other people's quereys, but not the one about this article!
[edit] re Deletion of Agel page
I want to protest the deletion of the entry on Agel, a new network marketing company, for the following reasons. 1. All entries on companies may be incorrectly presented as "advertisements," if they are not objectively phrased. 2. You may have an issue with network marketing in general, but it is completely legal and many well-established MLM companies are listed. 3. Providing objective descriptions of companies and their products is useful. People do not read Wikipedia for advertising, but for information. 4. A brief scan of this page suggests many protested deletions, including those for noncommercial entries. It may be appropriate to lodge a complaint if some entries are singled out for deletion while similar entries are not. Please explain your rationale. If you wish to communicate you can email me at jcloud [at] ateamnj.com.
[edit] questions on rosie collier page
I noted that someone recently placed a entry under my wife's name that has been taken down. she has been receiving harrassing phonecalls because of a letter to the editor she wrote this week. i was trying to determine how the unlisted number was located when i found the entry. questions; if need be, can it be determined who posted the page? is a cached view of what was posted avaliable?
[edit] Oxford United Deaf Football Club
Why did you delete this page? I spent several hours creating this being new to Wikipedia. You have soured my experience of this website. I found nothing wrong, and created it in a similar format to Newcastle United Football Club. At least please restore it and I will make the necessary adjustments.
