John Harold Lozano (born March 30, 1972 in Cali) is a Colombian football (Soccer) player. He plays the midfield position. He is known for being a strong leader on the field, and being excellent at headers.
He played mostly for América de Cali and Real Valladolid (Spain), but also spent some time playing with Palmeiras (Brazil), Club America (Mexico) and RCD Mallorca (Spain).
He was a participant at the 1994 FIFA World Cup and at the 1998 FIFA World Cup.
During his 2001-2002 season with RCD Mallorca he started 8 games.
During a match against Real Madrid, players of Real Madrid blame Lozano for whistling during a free kick, causing players of Real Madrid to believe that the referee had blown the whistle. The free kick was a successful goal for Real Valladolid. Lozano denies that it was him and says it could have been any of the 90,000 spectators at the soccer match. This occurred when Lozano was playing for Real Valladolid.
