John Horgan (political psychologist)

Dr. John Horgan, born 1974, is an Irish political psychologist and lecturer at the University of St Andrews in Scotland, specializing in the areas of terrorism and forensic psychology. He is also a member of the University's Centre for the Study of Terrorism and Political Violence (CSTPV). Before moving to St Andrews, John Horgan was a College Lecturer at the Department of Applied Psychology, University College Cork, from which he was awarded his PhD in 2000. He has most recently written in the area of the psychology of terrorism, and has travelled around the world lecturing to a variety of audiences on the topic.
