John Trewick

John Trewick (born 3 June 1957 in Bedlington) is a football coach and a former player. He is the current assistant manager of Hereford United.
A midfielder, Trewick started his career at West Bromwich Albion and played nearly 100 games for the club during the late 1970s. He then moved to Newcastle United in 1980 for £250,000, a club record buy at the time. His time at Newcastle was somewhat affected by injury, although he enjoyed a successful loan spell at Oxford United, whom he later joined on a free transfer in 1984. Trewick played in every league game for Oxford during 1984-85. He later played for non-league Bromsgrove Rovers, and during the 1989-90 season, Hartlepool United.
As a coach, Trewick has worked at West Bromwich Albion, Derby County and Hereford United. He is sometimes known by his nickname 'Tucka'.
During West Bromwich's visit to China (see "Albion in the Orient"), John Trewick entered football history by exclaiming: "Impressive, isn't it? But you've seen one wall, you've seen them all!" during the team's visit to the Great Wall of China.
