John Wallace (born February 9, 1974 in Rochester, New York) is a professional basketball player.
Wallace, a 6ft-8in, 220lb small forward, attended Syracuse University before being selected 18th in the 1996 NBA Draft by the New York Knicks.
He played for a number of teams before playing overseas in Italy for Snaidero Udine.
During his senior season (1995-96) Wallace lead Syracuse in scoring averaging 22.2 points per game. He finished his career as Syracuse's third all-time leading scorer scoring 2,119 over 127 games between 1992 and 1996.
A second-team USBWA, AP, College Sport, Basketball Times, The Sporting News and third-team Basketball Weekly All-American in 1996.
A second-team Basketball Times and second-team Basketball Weekly freshman All-American.
Two-time All-Big East First Team selection.
Named to the West Regional and Final Four All-Tournament Teams in 1996.
Second-team All-BIG EAST in 1994.
BIG EAST All-Freshman Team honoree.
Holds the SU single-season record for points scored (845).
Holds the SU single-season record free throws attempted (291).
Holds the SU single-season record for double-figure scoring games (38).
Holds the SU single-season record for points scored as a senior (845).
Holds the SU single-season record for consecutive double-figure scoring (38).
Ranks third all-time in SU career scoring (2,119).
Ranks fourth in SU career double-figure scoring games (108).

Helped lead the Orangemen to the 1996 Final Four and NCAA Championship game.
Wallace played Lonnie in the 1998 Spike Lee film He Got Game as a teammate of character Jesus Shuttlesworth.
