John Walter Sharbrough, III

John Walter Sharbrough, III (b. November 16, 1956, Lafayette, Louisiana) is an attorney specializing in complex class action litigation. He grew up in Belzoni, Mississippi and attended the University of Alabama School of Law. He is perhaps best known as the lead counsel in the infamous BancBoston Class Action in the 1990s. [1][2]
In 1995, Sharbrough established a professorial chair, the John W. Sharbrough, III Professor of Law with an initial gift of $100,000 to the University of Alabama School of Law. He is the youngest graduate of the University of Alabama School of Law to establish a professorship. See Capstone Lawyer 1995 Report
He practices law in Mobile, Alabama with the Sharbrough Law Firm. He presently specializes in complex antitrust class action litigation.[3]
