Johnny "Drama" Chase is a character on the dramedy television series Entourage. He is played by Kevin Dillon.
Drama is Vincent's older half-brother. He is a has-been C-list actor, best known for his starring role as Tarvold in a cult television series, Viking Quest. It is a deliberate case of art imitating life as Kevin Dillon finds himself in a similar situation in real life as his career has been overshadowed by brother Matt Dillon.
In season one, we find out that he has not had a serious acting gig for three years. Instead, he is Vincent's cook and fitness consultant. He is a pompous, self-important character who constantly brings up bit roles he has played over the years in such movies and television shows as Barbershop, Melrose Place[1], Nash Bridges, The Commish, A Different World, Home Improvement, Pacific Blue, Full House, Cornelius & Son, Miami Vice, 227 and Beverly Hills 90210, as well as a national television commercial for herpes drug Valtrex[2], and tries to give acting advice to Vincent who doesn't actually need any. He is always looking to capitalize on Vincent's success, which pays off with a supporting role in Queens Boulevard and a bit part in a flashy Chinese commercial that Vincent does. He lives with Vincent, who finances most of his life. Although he occasionally finds his little brother's charity emasculating, he almost never turns it down. While it would seem that he is nothing more than a leech, Johnny cares deeply for his brother Vincent.
Drama recently landed a role as the "older Irish brother" in an Edward Burns television pilot[3], which suggests that he might move towards being more independent from Vincent, depending on how this pilot performs. Drama's character is based on Mark Wahlberg's cousin, Johnny Alves.[4] In real life, Alves was also often referred to as "Johnny Drama".[citation needed]
