Talk:John F. Kennedy Eternal Flame

How can it have been the only eternal flame in the world for a single person if Jackie O was inspired by that of the unknown soldier? --70.54.70.149 01:10, 12 January 2007 (UTC) Answer - memorials known as "Tomb of the Unknown Soldier" usually have one unknown soldier in the tomb, rather than all that have ever been discovered. The one entombed unknown soldier, however, is a representative for all the unknown soldiers for a particular context, i.e, the United States or other country, or perhaps a particular campaign like World War II. In conclusion, the eternal flame that inspired Mrs. Kennedy was a memorial for more than one person.
