Jon Main is an English footballer. He currently plays for Tonbridge Angels FC in the Isthmian League Premier Division, after previously being with Cray Wanderers and VCD Athletic.

[edit] Early Life and Start of Career
Jon Main began his career with several local youth teams in his home area of Erith in Kent. His first semi-professional club was VCD Athletic, before joining Cray Wanderers FC where he helped to lift the side out of the Kent League. The following season he scored 16 goals in just under 20 games before being signed for Tonbridge Angels.

Jon Main signed for the Angels in early 2006, scoring only three goals in the remainder of the league season. He then went onto score 2 goals in the 2005-06 Ryman League Division One Playoffs to help the Angels gain promotion over Kent rivals Dover Athletic in the Playoff Final in May 2006. Main signed a contract for the 2006-07 season in which he has scored 37 goals in all competitions to date (19th March 2007.) Including 31 league goals, with 8 league matches remaining of the season. To date in the 2006-07 season Main has scored 6 hat-tricks including scoring 4 goals against Worthing FC. He had a three day trial with Wolves but was turned away and is now currently on a five day trial with Norwich City FC.
