Jonathan Blitstein

Jonathan Blitstein (born in Lake Forest, Illinois) is an American indie filmmaker. He graduated from Highland Park High School (Highland Park, Illinois).
Also a graduate of New York University's Tisch School of the Arts he recently completed his first feature length film Let Them Chirp Awhile. Previously he made a short film called The Fisherboy which premiered at the Rhode Island Film Festival in 2005.
He has one sibling, Ryan Blitstein, who is an American journalist. His first cousin Jeremy Stoppelman is the CEO/co-founder of Yelp.com. He is also a first cousin to Darren Spitzer, lead singer of The Changes (band).
Let Them Chirp Awhile is a 35mm feature length film which stars Justin Rice, Brendan Sexton III, Laura Breckenridge, Zach Galligan and features a special appearance by Anthony Rapp.
Blitstein is also a collaborator with and lifelong friend of Bryan Scary.
