Josh Burkman (April 10, 1980 in Salt Lake City, Utah) is an American mixed martial artist fighting with the Ultimate Fighting Championship. Before becoming a mixed martial artist, Burkman was an amateur wrestler. During his senior year of high school he finished second in his weight class at the state championship. Burkman also played college football before taking on fighting full time.[1]
Burkman was a contestant on the The Ultimate Fighter 2, which aired on Spike TV. Burkman currently fights as a welterweight in the UFC.
