Judd Trump

Judd Trump (born 21 August 1989) is a young English snooker player who enjoyed considerable success in youth tournaments - he was English Under 13 and Under 15 champion, and reached the World Under 21 championship semi-finals at 16. For 2005/2006 he joined the professional tour, and at the Welsh Open became the youngest player ever to qualify for the final stages of a ranking tournament. He reached the same last 48 stage for the China Open, losing 5-4 to Michael Holt, although this was designated the final qualifying round and was played in England.
On 13 March 2004, as a fourteen year old, Judd Trump hit a maximum during an Under 16 tournament at Coalville, Leicester, and became the youngest player in history to compile a 147 in an official tournament. This record had been Ronnie O'Sullivan's for 13 years.Judd Trump has become the youngest player for 14 years to reach the World Championship by beating James Wattana 10-5 in the final qualifying round. Bristol's Trump emulates ex-champions Stephen Hendry and Ronnie O'Sullivan - the only other 17-year-olds to feature at Sheffield's Crucible Theatre.
He is no relation to the American tycoon Donald Trump.
