Jude Harrison is a fictional character from the Canadian TV show Instant Star. Jude is played by Alexz Johnson, a Canadian born actress, also known for her role as Annie Thelen in the show So Weird.

[edit] Background/Personality
Jude first found fame by winning the Instant Star music competition, but now she's a full-fledged star, no "instant" required. It's easy to see why. She has phenomenal musical ability and absolutely lights up the stage. But her music's totally real. She sings from the gut and from the heart, and when the two aren't in tune, she has to make all necessary corrections before the show can go on. Sometimes the only thing holding Jude back is her overwhelming desire to help others, even if it costs her success and happiness. Her love for her family, her friends, and even for Tommy can blind her, and her fear of losing them can lead her to do crazy things.
She was 15 turned 16 in season one. Then in season two she was 16 turned 17. Now she is 17 turned 18.

[edit] Tommy Quincy
Tommy and Jude have an interesting relationship. Although the two have never dated the two obiously care about each other and as Tommy said once if Jude wasn't so young he would've dated her. The two shared a passionate kiss under the rain on her sixteenth birthday after Jude finds that her boyfriend Shay is dating her rival Eden Taylor. On her seventeenth birthday Jude and Tommy get locked up in the basement of an old building and two share a moment where Tommy in his own words tell Jude that he cares about her and they share an almost kiss. These two are the most popular "almost" pairing in the show. Jude and Tommy finally get together while recording Jude's new album,when their are in a church.

Jamie has had a huge crush on Jude since they were little and when Jamie confesses his feelings for her Jude is not able to return his feelings because of Tommy. Jamie eventually gets over it and they get back to being friends after a while Jamie and Kat soon started dating but soon broke up when Kat realizes that Jude will always comes first to Jamie. At the end of Season 1 before Jude gets on the plane the two share a kiss and at the start of Season 2 the two were an official couple. Their relationship did not last long though because of Jude's busy schedule, she did not have time for Jamie. Jamie soon broke up her and it took them a while to start being friends again.

Spiederman is Jude's new lead guitarist. The two start a relationship and all goes well until Jude's feelings for Tommy comes between them. The two broke up but still remained friends.

Shay is a major rap star and Jude's first boyfriend and first heartbreak. Shay came to G-Major so that Tommy can produce his album. The two meet and Shay is impressed that Jude is not like the other girls who usually fawn over him. Shay starts pursuing Jude (e.g. rapping to her) and the two start dating. The two had a few problems from the start but eventually worked it out. When Shay left for his tour, Jude and him did not break up instead they tried to make it work. But that all ended at Jude's sixteenth birthday when Shay stopped by and tells Jude that he is breaking up with her and he is dating Eden Taylor (former Instant Star finalist and Jude's rival).

[edit] Stuart Harrison
Jude's dad. Stuart is very supportive of Jude's career since he himself is a big music fan (e.g. naming his daughters after Beatles songs). In the show it seemed like Jude and Stuart were closer than Jude and Victoria. Sadie was the first one to find out that Stuart was cheating on his wife with their travel agent. Sadie never told Jude because she knew Jude would be devastated. Jude eventually found out about this when she saw her dad and the travel agent making out on their couch. After this Stuart eventually moves out of the house leaving Jude and Sadie with their mom. Stuart eventually moves back in near somewhere in the middle of Season 2.

Jude's mom. Victoria usually wants Jude to focus more on her studies. Victoria seems closer to Sadie than she is to Jude. In Season 2 Victoria is dating her divorce lawyer. She eventually marries him without telling the girls where she was going and when she will be back. Jude and Sadie are left alone and Stuart eventually moves back in the house with them.

Jude's "perfect" sister. She excels in academics and athletics, gaining award after award. She and Jude don't always get along but there are times where they show that they do care about each other. When Sadie started dating Tommy, Jude was not happy but eventually got over it. Jude even tried to get the two back together again, knowing that her sister really cared for him. Sadie may be the perfect daughter but there were times where she felt jealous of Jude's musical ability. In the end, these two are sisters and will always stay that way.
