Julius J. Lipner

Julius Lipner, was born and raised in India and studied for his PhD at King's College, London. Presently, he is a member the Divinity Faculty at the University of Cambridge [1], where he is Professor of Hinduism and the Comparative Study of Religion, and a Fellow of Clare Hall. His interests include traditional and modern Vedanta, as well as 19th century Bengal [2]. He has worked alongside of many scholars and Hindu religious leaders such as Kenneth Cracknell [3] and Tamala Krishna Gosvami whom he has worked with in exploring the academic discourse on Krishnology [4]. Dr. Lipner is a member of the Academic Advisory Council for the Oxford Centre for Hindu Studies [5].
