Kabul Soccer Club

Kabul Soccer Club has been established since 1983 by the Afghan Community of Concord, California. The club is named after the beautiful city of Kabul, Afghanistan. Kabul Soccer Club has consisted of former Afghan National Team Players and recently consists of many Afghan/American Youth Players. The club has been established to promote the beautiful game of soccer and to provide a common ground for cultural differences between the youth and the older generation of Afghans.
Kabul Soccer Club has sponsored numerous soccer tournaments to gather the Afghan communities residing in the United States. The Club hosted its first Afghan Tournament in September of 1994 and won the championship by beating Ariana Soccer Club of Los Angles.
Kabul Soccer Club has participated in many sponsored soccer tournaments hosted by Afghan Soccer clubs across the United States. The tournaments are held three to four times a year in various regions such as Los Angeles, New York, Virginia and Vancouver, British Columbia. The club will be taking a historic journey to Kabul, Afghanistan in August of 2004, where many of the players will be visiting their homeland for the first time or in many years.
