Kakisa, Northwest Territories

Kakisa (Slavey language: K'agee "between the willows") is a "Designated Authority"[1] in the Dehcho Region of the Northwest Territories, Canada. The community is located on a lake of the same name, and is southeast of Fort Providence. The highway has a road connection to the Mackenzie Highway.
It is one of the few communities in the NWT not to have an airport.
Population is 40 according to the 2001 Census, all of which were First Nations[2]
The Dene of the community are represented by the Ka’agee Tu First Nation and belong to the Dehcho First Nations.[3]
