Kami, Hyogo (Mikata)

Kami (香美町; -cho) is a town located in Mikata District, Hyogo, Japan. The town was formed on April 1, 2005 from the merger of the former towns of Mikata, Muraoka, and Kasumi.
As of April 1, 2005 (but with 2004 population statistics), the town has an estimated population of 23,009 and a density of 62 persons per km². The total area is 369.08 km².
Kami is the location of the Amarube Bridge, a famous railroad trestle bridge.
