KATH-LP, is a low-power NBC affiliate serving Juneau, Alaska. The station is owned by North Star Television under Dan Etulain, a wealthy doctor from Sitka, Alaska.
The station is broadcast over the air on analog channel 5 and as well as on the local cable network in Juneau on channel 15. Its transmitter is located in Juneau, with power of just 10 watts.
The station has some local programming, but no local newscast of its own. The 10pm news from Anchorage's NBC affiliate KTUU-TV is provided each night. KTUU-TV also provides the feed for NBC, essentially making the station a translator with local cut-ins for commercials and programming.
KSCT-LP is a translator of KATH in Sitka, also carried over-the-air on channel 5.
