Kenichthys was an ancient tetrapodomorph, a lineage that included tetrapods. It was one of the most primitive, and the earliest tetrapodomorph. It appeared mid Late Devonian, and it probably ate small animals. It may have looked like a lungfish with paddle-like limbs.
