How is a fan blog considered a source? Anyone can put up a blog calling a player anything and that doesnt establish it as a nickname. Corpx 18:03, 2 March 2007 (UTC)
- Nm, found a better source. http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/2007/writers/grant_wahl/02/12/freshman0219/ Corpx 18:06, 2 March 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Birthdate/Birthplace
Someone changed the birthdate/birthplace to Sept. 29 1988, Washington DC (rather than Sept. 30 1988, Suitland MD). Majority of references I found seem to state the latter so I changed it back and added two references that looked most likely to be authentic (although TexasSports.Com has the former dates just to confuse things) - tried searching for official birth records but couldn't find anything. - Kevin Durant was really born on September 29, 1988 in Washington, D.C. and not on September 30, 1988 in Suitland, Maryland. My information is according to TexasSports.com, the official athletic website of the Texas Longhorns. Zarius, who is a Wikipedia editor insists that Durant was born on September 30, 1988 in Suitland Maryland. Zarius is a pathetic dumbass that dosent know what he is talking about so don't believe anything that he writes. Zarius in a disgrace to Wikipedia and should be banned from editing any pages on it because he's a retard with false information. - Details moved from article page (10:32, 9 March 2007), originally posted by AdMan763.

- Please note that I have only changed the birthdate once - I reverted an unsourced change by 72.95.244.138 (06:19, 4 March 2007 - note the previous 5 edits on the same day). I researched the subject first and added references to back up my findings - majority of pages I had found stated Sept 30 and I referenced two pages just to make sure, then added details to the discussion page. After dispute I now have left the current birthdate and birthplace as they are, cleaned up the reference to TexasSports.com and left an invisible comment to see the talk page.
