Kindia

Kindia is a city in Guinea, lying north east of Conakry. It had a population of 96,074 in 1996 (census). Kindia is the capital of Kindia Prefecture and Kindia Region.
Kindia grew around banana plantations after the construction of a now-closed railway to the capital. Local attractions include Mount Gangan and the Mariée Falls.
