Kruja castle

The Kruja castle is a castle in the city of Kruja, Albania and the center of Skanderbeg's resistance against the Ottoman Turks. The castle withstood two massive sieges from the Turks, both times its garrison was even smaller than the one at Constantinople usually no bigger than 2,000-3,000 men. Mehmed II "The Conqueror" himself could not break the castles small defenses. Today it is a center of tourism and Albania and a source of inspiration to all Albanians.
