L107 is a local radio station broadcasting over North Lanarkshire and parts of South Lanarkshire. It is a relative newcomer to the radio scene, having begun broadcasting in November 2005 following the collapse of short-lived station 107 The Edge, which had been known as Clan FM from the early nineties.
The station broadcasts a mix of new and contemporary music, and also provides updates on the Lanarkshire football teams, with a weekly show on Friday nights with interviews from the clubs. Having only been on the air for a short space of time, it is as yet unclear if L107 is having an impact on listenership figures in its target area, however bosses at the station will be hoping it performs somewhat better than the failures of its predecessors.
