La zapatera prodigiosa ('The Shoemaker's Wonderful Wife') is a play by the Spanish playwright Federico García Lorca. It was written between 1926 and 1930, and first performed in 1930.
The play is the story of a shoemaker's wife's struggles against her neighbours, husband and the "boy". The shoemaker leaves the town but the shoemaker's wife stays faithful. The Shoemaker returns disguised as a puppeteer and they make up.
