Talk:Labour Party (Netherlands)
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
I think this page is not organized well. I also think that it's strange that the pages about dutch parties differ to much in layout. I would therefore like to propose one scheme to organize all dutch political parties lay out. Any reactions? or can I implement this in all dutch political parties?

Labour Party (Netherlands) → Partij van de Arbeid – "The party is called 'Partij van de Arbeid'. Though Labour Party is the English translation, that is not what the Dutch party is called. —JackSparrow Ninja 00:23, 31 January 2007 (UTC)" copied from WP:RM by AjaxSmack 01:45, 31 January 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Survey - in opposition to the move
- Oppose per WP:UE but might support a move to Dutch Labour Party. The party's official website uses the English name as in "This is the English website of the Dutch Labour Party, in the Netherlands known as Partij van de Arbeid (the PvdA)" [1], "Manifesto, Dutch Labour Party" [2], "Discussion Paper Prepared by the Dutch Labour Party’s Working Group on Europe" [3], &c. (Plus, party van could be ambiguous.) — AjaxSmack 01:45, 31 January 2007 (UTC)
- Oppose. All Dutch parties have been standardized in this version per WP:UE. I would prefer to keep this name Labour Party (Netherlands), because it is clear and simple. C mon 12:53, 31 January 2007 (UTC)
- Oppose per C mon; I'm not sure about Dutch Labour Party. Septentrionalis PMAnderson 22:16, 31 January 2007 (UTC)
- C mon is right. JACOPLANE • 2007-01-31 22:22
- Oppose per above. The English translation certainly takes priority. 205.157.110.11 02:45, 1 February 2007 (UTC)
- Oppose. Per AjaxSmack and the party's own website. --SigPig |SEND - OVER 04:47, 1 February 2007 (UTC)
