Leon Levine

Leon Levine (born 1938) founded the successful Family Dollar chain of discount stores. He was born in Rockingham, North Carolina and currently resides in Charlotte, North Carolina. Leon, along with his wife Sandra Levine (née Poliakoff) [1], has been involved in numerous charitable and philanthropic causes, donating huge sums of money to local projects in Charlotte and the surrounding region [2].
He did his undergraduate work at Duke University.
