Leslie Olive

Leslie Olive is a choral conductor, music composer, singing teacher, and music teacher at Colchester Royal Grammar School. He is known for conducting The English Arts Chorale, (which he founded in 1980), Stowmarket Chorale, Eye Bach Choir in north Suffolk, and also conducting the Junior Choir at CRGS. He has conducted many renowned orchestras including the Philharmonia Orchestra, the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, London Mozart Players, and the English Chamber Orchestra, as well as the Prague Conservatory orchestra. He has conducted opera with the London Opera Players and Opera Brava. He was a music director on several BBC Radio 4 productions and director of the BBC Radio 4's Daily Service for four years. Leslie Olive is known for composing the Christmas Carol Welcome, a range of church music, and the young people's opera "The Master of Ashmore."
