From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Assuming regular male-preference primogeniture (as is in place today), and assuming that each of his marriages is considered legitimate, the below would be the beginnings of the line of succession to the throne of Henry VIII upon his death on 29 January 1547:
- Edward Tudor, Duke of Cornwall (to become Edward VI)
- Mary Tudor of England (to become Mary I)
- Elizabeth Tudor of England (to become Elizabeth I)
- Mary, Queen of Scots, from whom is descended the House of Stuart
- Lady Margaret Douglas, Countess of Lennox
- Henry Stuart, Lord Darnley
- Lady Frances Brandon, Duchess of Suffolk
- Lady Jane Grey
- Lady Catherine Grey
- Lady Mary Grey
- Eleanor Brandon, Countess of Cumberland
- Lady Margaret Clifford
