Not every Peoples who had a relationship to a Celtic peoples is included here, for instance, Greeks. However those listed below are listed as they are thought to have a strong cultural and/or genetic influence on the history of one or more of the Celtic peoples.

- Romans The Romans and Celts were different people, but it is from the Romans where most of our evidence of Celtic culture comes, and it is with the Romans that the celtic peoples attained places in government and some of the Roman leaders came from families of a Celtic origin. The original Italic peoples were not drastically different to the Celts.
