List of business schools in Europe

Nowadays, in Europe, most universities offer studies in business administration or related areas. The top business schools and/or their programmes are always accredited by one or several of the following associations: the AACSB, the AMBA, and the EFMD EQUIS.
The MBA programme is of American origin, and was brought to Europe in the 1960s. Most European countries have their own tradition of management education which predates the introduction of American-style programmes, and, in some cases, portions of the original tradition remains. A few examples of European traditional schools include the Handelshochschulen of Germany, the Ecoles de Commerce in France, or the Admininistrative Staff College in the United Kingdom, which concentrates on developing experienced executives.
