I think maybe the first sentence should read `formally' rather than `formerly', but I'm not absolutely certain. --G Gordon Worley III 03:26, 5 Jun 2004 (UTC)
I don't think so. Formally, i.e. scientifically, it is Manchantiopsida, but in the past the group has been known as Hepaticae. I don't think any botanists still use Hepaticae, so the sentence is correct with "formerly". --Stemonitis 14:15, 30 Mar 2005 (UTC)

Wanted to update Hepatica article - ended up on Manchantiopsida & realized that to a non-botanical reader this would be really confusing - they would either be 90% though article before realizing they where in the wrong place or else learn the tottaly wrong thing & remain blissfully ignorant. Hence I dabbed the page.Bridesmill 14:26, 20 April 2006 (UTC)
