[edit] Fictional character biography
A crippled unactivated metahuman police officer with Metropolis SCU named Eddie Walker was savagely attacked and bitten by the Bloodlines Parasite named Glonth, the attack triggered his metagene, granting him superhuman abilities. Eddie originally transformed into his alter ego only at night, and grew in strength and size as he got angrier, much like the Hulk. He changes color from Blue to Purple, to Red, and finally to White due to extreme rage, in his white form he is barely capable of coherent thought.
His first solo appearance was in Showcase '94 #5 against an armed mercenary called Firepower.
[edit] One Year later
One year after Infinite Crisis, Loose Cannon has his heart stolen by organ thieves in JSA Classified #19. He was last seen on life support, but his final fate has not been revealed.
[edit] Trivia
Unlike normal Metahumans, the trauma of the Bloodlines Parasites attacks and their mutagenic venom, affected how many of the New Bloods manifested their abilities. And in some cases such as Ballistic, Prism, Krag, Terrorsmith and possibly Loose Cannon the venom caused extreme physical mutations.
