Mêlée (band)
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Mêlée is a pop-rock quartet from Orange County, California.
The quartet recently finished recording their major-label debut for Warner Bros. Records entitled "Devils and Angels". Produced by Howard Benson (All American Rejects, My Chemical Romance, Daughtry, Motörhead), the disc has been mixed by Tim Palmer (U2, Pearl Jam, Switchfoot) and is due out in April 3rd, 2007. Mêlée will tour with The Early November and The Rocket Summer on March 1st, beginning with the a short stint with Quietdrive and a handful of shows in England with The Cat Empire.
Over the past couple of years, Mêlée has appeared on the Warped Tour and Take Action! Tour, sharing the stage with Copeland, The Donnas, Bowling for Soup, Sugarcult, Motion City Soundtrack and Starting Line, among others. After touring exhaustively and selling 15,000 copies of their 2004 release, Everyday Behavior (Sub City/Hopeless),[citation needed] the band became the subject of a major-label bidding war before inking with Warner Bros. Records A&R chief Craig Aaronson. They have recorded a few videos for some of their songs including "The War" and "Built to Last."
The band entered pre-production on their major-label with roughly 34 songs in the works.
The band is managed by Adam Harrison.
