From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Mahásamparka is the title of the work in two volumes authored by P.N.Rangan (Pen-name 'Manu') that hypothesises the arrival of Extra-Terrestrials (ETs) in the land of India near Badarinath dhama around 5,000 years ago.
[edit] Overview
The incidences narrated in Mahábhárata are replete with experiments conducted by ETs on or with the assistance of locals in the field of science, especially in the fields of biology and genetics. The work highlights these experiments with a view to bring to attention 'Evolution of Intelligence' mentioned by Eric Von Daniken - a missing link in the chain of evolution that he speaks of in Chariot of Gods. The ETs were identified by the locals as Dévatás (Gods) and the language of Sanskrit spoken by them as Dévabháshá. Even today, the place of their activity is referred to as Dévabhúmi. Ŗgveda was a text created by these Gods and Ŗşis to teach the young of the sub-continent both the language of Sanskrit and the subject of History, Philosophy, Science and Technology.
The word Extra-Terrestrials need to be understood in the context of ancient times. It was not until Aristotle redefined geography, the meaning of earth was limited to one's surrounding terrain. It is interesting to note that around the same time as the mention of place called Badarinath there is a mention of Badari in the ancient history of Egypt. The work details in the first volume called Book of Reason the proofs found in Ŗgveda, which is the first book of the world, on science and technology in a codified manner and then linked to the incidences narrated in Mahábhárata. And in the second volume called Book of Probable the story of Mahábhárata is retold as an interaction between ETs and inhabitants of the land.
The two volume work is published by Prism Books Pvt. Ltd., Bangalore.
