Mark Billingham is an English author best known for his series of crime novels.

Mark Billingham was born in Birmingham, England. He graduated with a drama degree and went on to become an actor. He later became a TV writer, and a stand-up comedian.
He was the first human actor to appear on Spitting Image. As half of the double act "The Tracy Brothers" he was a regular on radio show The Mary Whitehouse Experience before its transfer to television, and he also appeared as Gary in the popular children's TV series Maid Marian and Her Merry Men.
He published his first novel, Sleepyhead, in 2001. His novels all feature London-based detective Tom Thorne.
Mark supports Wolverhampton Wanderers.
