Asmawi bin Ani, better known as Mawi, is a Malaysian singer and a winner of Malaysia's most popular reality show named Akademi Fantasia season 3. Mawi had created a new phenomenon in the Malaysian music industry by becoming the most influential singer in 3 years. With his first album sold more than 200,000 copies in Malaysia, Mawi onset his singing career with flying colours and encountered wildgossip and controversies
