Mecca Centric
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Mecca Centric Da'wah Group is an Islamic organization that was established in 1996 for the purpose of educating Muslims and non-Muslims about the true teachings of Islam. Its primary means of accomplishing this goal is by producing and distributing high quality lectures by some of the most prominent Muslim speakers in America[disambiguation needed] today. All of these lecture productions are original, creative, and professional.[citation needed] Mecca Centric currently masters all of its lectures on digital media. Each video opens with a brief montage which may include shots of the speaker, audience, and/or the general atmosphere juxtaposed with titles establishing the time and place of the event. The lecture itself is recorded with a variety of shots (wide-angle to close-up) that are captured from two separate cameras simultaneously. A video mixer is used for smooth transitions between the cameras, which occasionally gives the viewer a glimpse of the audience too, revealing people's reactions to what's being said. In many recent productions, picture-in-picture and split-screen techniques are utilized during question and answer sessions.
