[edit] Middle name
One source for Lynn being her middle name is from a survey by her on myspace.com (see Point 16): http://bulletin.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=bulletin.read&messageID=2448817866 Optimale Gu 19:01, 10 January 2007 (UTC)

- MySpace is not an inherently unreliable source, either. In this case, Melissa Ashley maintains her own official personal adult commercial website, at which she provides a prominent link to her myspace page. Presumably, information obtained from via her MySpace page is as reliable as any other public statement (IE, good enough for Wikipedia if not a court of law). That said, I don't see how to get to the registration-required link from her MySpace page. Of course, I spend zip-zero time mucking with MySpace. Abb3w 08:01, 11 January 2007 (UTC)
[edit] First/Last name usage
In the summary for this edit, User:Joie de Vivre indicates usage is dictated by WP:MOS; more specifically, it's actually in the linked WP:MOSBIO.
I found it grating in this case, as the apparent stage "surname" originated from an earlier first-name only stage name. Checking her website Bio, the "official" usage actually is as a hyphenated personal name (similar to the non-hyphenated stereotypical redneck bimbo "Bobbie Sue" and "Debbie Jo" name constructs), not one constructed with a first and last name. Unless someone makes a coherent argument against it, I plan to rename the article using the hyphenated form, add a redirect, and change usage in the article to match. - I have no objections. Good job fact-checking. Joie de Vivre 23:50, 19 February 2007 (UTC)

- Her 'stage name' is "Melissa Ashley" and using just "Ashley" might give the wrong impression that this would be her surname, used in the article according to WP:MOSBIO. I therefore think to use the full pseudonym "Melissa Ashley" is more appropriate and less prone to misunderstandings. Maybe "Melissa-Ashley" would be even better but as the article name uses no hyphen I left it out too. But changing everything (including article name) to the hyphenated form sounds ok.
