The station is a major connection point for the TransLink bus routes in southern Burnaby. Metrotown Station is the eastern terminus of the #49 bus route, which runs to Dunbar Loop and to the University of British Columbia when it is in session.
[edit] Trivia
Metrotown Station is located on the old right-of-way once used by the old British Columbia Electric Railway Central Park Line; this line ran from just west of Nanaimo Station to where the current New Westminster Station is located.
