Michael, Prince of Saxe-Weimar-Eisenach

Michael-Benedikt Georg Jobst Karl Alexander Bernhard Claus Frederick of Saxe-Weimar-Eisenach (15 November 1946), is a German prince and the current Head of the Grand Ducal house of Saxe-Weimar-Eisenach.

Born in Bamberg, he was the only son of Hereditary Grand Duke Karl August and Elisabeth of Wangenheim-Winterstein.
When his father died in 1988, Michael became the new Head of the House of Saxe-Weimar-Eisenach and noimnal Grand Duke.
In Linnep bei Breitscheid on 4 July 1970 Michael married firstly with Renate Henkel. This marriage was childless and they divorced in 1974.
In London on 15 November 1980 Michael married secondly with Dagmar Hennings. They had only one daughter: Leonie Mercedes Augusta Silva Elisabeth Margarethe (b. Frankfurt, 30 October 1986)
Michael is currently 538th in the Line of succession to the British Throne, being a great-grandson of the Princess Augusta Charlotte of Wales. As he has no sons, the current heir to the Headship of the Grand Ducal house is his cousin, Prince Wilhelm Ernst of Saxe-Weimar-Eisenach (b. 1946), and Wilhelm Ernst's son, Prince Georg Konstantin (b. 1977)
