Michael Joiner

Michael Joiner (born 28 October 1981 in Fayetteville,North Carolina) is an American professional basketball player currently playing for the Canterbury Rams in the New Zealand National Basketball League. He plays the forward position, and sometimes centre, standing at 6 foot 7 and weighing around 238 pounds.
Joiner graduated from Seventy-First High School in North Carolina in 2000. In his first collegiate season at Florida State he averaged 9.3 points and 6.0 rebounds.He had an amazing debut match netting 18 points in a match against arch-rival Florida Gators. As a sophomore in 2002, he had similar numbers for the Seminoles, posting 7.8 points a game and 4.7 rebounds during the season. In his third season as a junior, Joiner averaged 8.5 points a game and 4.1 rebounds. In his fnal year at Florida State, Joiner had his worst year statistically, only posting 6.2 points a game and 3.7 rebounds. He did however, establish a career high, starting in 30 of the Seminoles 33 matches. His career high for points at Florida State came in his freshmen season when he notched 22 against Cleveland State.
