Michael Koch

Michael Koch (b. July 2, 1982, Lucerne) is a Swiss actor. He is well-known in the germanphone part of Switzerland for his starring role in the successful movie Ready, steady, Charlie!.
Koch was singing in the Basel Boys Choir in his youth as well as two of his brothers, where he achieved his first stage experiences when the choir participated in some opera productions of the Theatre of Basel. Koch received further stage acting education at the Young Theater of Basel and played the starring role in the piece "Die Schaukel"; he then has been invited to the prestigious Vienna Festival.
Koch became internationally known for his starring role as Antonio Carrera in the most successful Swiss movie ever, Ready, steady, Charlie! in 2004. He played alongside beauty queen Melanie Winiger, comedian Marco Rima and singer Mia Aegerter. He is currently studying at a film school in Cologne, Germany.
