Michael Twist

Michael Twist was born in Vancouver, Canada and has published creative nonfiction, fiction, and poetry. He obtained a B.A. in Communications and English from Simon Fraser University. He has experience as a professional English teacher and obtained Trinity College (TESOL) certification in Barcelona, Spain.
In Highs and Lows: A Personal Approach to Living with Diabetes [1](Insomniac Press, 2001) Twist argues for a re-evaluation of the way we view diabetes and those who suffer from it. The book fills an important gap in diabetes literature by offering valuable insights and helpful tips for people living with diabetes, and for those of us who want to understand.
His published poetry chapbooks include Fireworks (Jellyfish, 2000) and Here & Now (Jellyfish, 1998). He has written for publications including Shared Vision, The Danforth Review, Momentum, Diabetes Health, Maelstrom, and Webspace.
