The Michigan Federation of Young Republicans or MFYR is a state affiliates of the Young Republican National Federation. The MFYR is billed by the Michigan Republican Party as the next generation of Republican leaders[1]. It is also registered as a Political Action Committee[2].
In February of 2007 the MFYR chairman, 32-year-old Lansing attorney Michael Flory, was charged with 17 offenses[3] in the alleged July 2006 rape of a 21-year-old woman[4] while they both attended the National Federation of Young Republicans' annual convention in Cleveland, Ohio.
